General Description
Location: Yingkou is located at the entrance of Liaohe River, in the central part of the Liaodong peninsula.
The complex is made up of Yingkou Old Port, Bayuquan New Port and Xianren Dao. Bayuquan New Port is approx 30nm to the S of Yingkou old port and is now a major port for foreign trade in North East China.
General overview: The port has a total of 48 berths, 9 of which are in the old port. Yingkou's main cargoes include general cargo, steel, grain, timber, coal, ore, containers, LPG and chemical fertilisers.
Traffic figures: Approx 176,000,000t of cargo and 2,030,000TEU are handled annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: Yingkou Old Port: LOA 220m, draught 6.0m, airdraught up to 45m. Bayuquan: LOA 230m, beam 35m, draught 12.0m at HW. Max dimensions for bulk carriers as follows: LOA 285m, beam 45m, moulded depth 25.0m, arrival draught 13.0m, 100,000DWT. Oil Berth: LOA 225m, beam 32.2m, draught 12.5m.
