General Description
Location: Fuling is located on the upper reaches of the Changjiang (Yangtze) River, at the confluence of the Changjiang River and Wujiang River. General overview: The port consists of the Changjiang section and the Wujiang section. The Changjiang section is bounded by Shihuiyao and Yangduxi with a shoreline of 129km. The Wujiang section is bounded by Baitao Town and the mouth of Wujiang River with a shoreline of 26km. The overall land area is 260,000m² and the overall water area is 630,000m². The harbour area: This area is located on the Changjiang River. It is bounded by Lidu Kongdong Bridge and Huangjiaozui. The main cargoes handled in the port are coal, petroleum, iron and steel, ore material, chemical fertiliser, agricultural chemical, manufactured goods for daily use and local products. Traffic figures: Approx 2,603,000t of cargo handled annually.
