General Description
Location: Gaspe is a natural harbour situated on the SW shore of Gaspe Bay in eastern Quebec. General overview: The harbour is open year round, but occasionally the assistance of ice breakers may be required. The main cargoes handled are aggregates, petroleum products, salt and wind turbine blades. During the summer, the port welcomes cruise and sailing vessels. In addition, the port is also used by a few fishing vessels. Traffic figures: Approx 38 vessels are handled annually. Load line zone: North Atlantic Winter Seasonal Zone II, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: LOA 198m.
