General Description
Location: Le Treport is located on the NW coast of France just to the NE of Dieppe. It is located at the mouth of the Bresle, one of the three rivers that open the coast.
General overview: The port possesses 2 quays, North Quay and South Quay. These provide 10 berths and are used primarily for the handling of general and grain cargoes. The commercial port and fishing port are entered through separate locks. Its capacity is:
- about 100 moorings in the inner harbour
- about 100 dry berths
- about 120 berths in the fishing basin (including 5 visitor berths).
Traffic figures: Approximately 135 vessels visit the port annually.
Load line zone: North Atlantic Winter Seasonal Zone II, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.
Max size: LOA 115m, beam 16m and draught equal to the height of tide less 2m. Depending neap or spring tides, this averages between 4.4m and 7.0m. Commercial Locks: Width 19m, sill 2m above CD. Fishing/pleasure craft Lock: Length 28m, width 9.5m.
