Location: Lochaline is located on the NW coast of Scotland at the entrance to Loch Aline. General overview: Lochaline consists of a privately owned pier used primarily for the handling of sand in bulk from the local silica sand mine and a car ferry ramp. Traffic figures: Approx 70 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: North Atlantic Winter Seasonal Zone II, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: Max draught 5.3m.
