General Description
Location: Moskalvo port is situated on the N coast of Sakhalin Island, in Sakhalin Bay, Russia Far East.
General overview: It is the only port in the N of Ostrov Sakhalin with facilities suitable for ocean going vessels. The primary activity is the export of crude oil from the Okha Oil Fields, delivered to the port by pipeline. The port also handles supplies and equipment for the drilling rigs. Rosneft plans to construct an oil refinery 4km from the terminal, with oil supplied by the East Siberian Pacific Ocean pipeline, with proposed capacity of 20,000,000tpa by approx 2013.

Winter 16 Oct-15 Apr, Summer 16 Apr-15 Oct. The port is only accessible from early June to early November.
Max size: LOA 120m (110m in Regulations), draught 6.0m, though up to 6.5m is permitted, 7,000DWT.
