Location: Port of Yaroslavl is situated at the banks of river Volga, 522 km away from Moscow, Russia. General overview: The unified deep-water network of the European part of Russia allows to transport cargoes to regions of the Baltic, White, Caspian, Azov, Black and Mediterranean seas. Climatic conditions ensure navigation for 6 months a year from May to October. The port is located on two banks of the Volga River in the city of Yaroslavl. Main cargoes handled are concrete good, project-sized machinery, industrial equipment, all kinds of bulk goods, metal, scrap, timber (roundwood, lumber) etc. Except the cargo operations the port also offers passenger services. The river tram departs from the berth no. 5 and takes the passangers for a 1,5 hour boat trip. Yaroslavl port has a towing fleet with a capacity of 300-1340 h.p., non-self-propelled barges, cranes with a capacity of 5-16 tons and passenger fleet. It also has repair facilities, workshops, drying complex, lumber processing, passenger service complex. The main markets for port services in the transportation of goods are Yaroslavl region, Vologda region, Moscow region and the city of Moscow.
