Location: Bassens is a subport of Bordeaux which is located on the banks of the Garonne.
General overview: Bassens Port (port code: FRBAS) is one of the six subports of Bordeaux Port along the 100-kilometer estuary of the Gironde River for handling grain, bulk cargoes, containers, and timber. Allowing for a maximum draft of 11 meters, the port can accommodate vessels up to 250 meters in LOA, dependent on tide and river conditions.
