General Description
Location: Ploce is a natural port located on the E coast of the Adriatic Sea at the mouth of the Neretva River and approx 70km NW of Dubrovnik on the Dalmatian coast. The commercial harbour lies on the E side of the inlet.
General overview: An important port with excellent road, rail and air links. It serves neighbouring non coastal countries, such as Bosnia Herzegovina, along with countries of Central Europe.

Pilotage:
-Port Pilotage: Compulsory for vessels over 500 g.t. and yachts over 1,000 g.t.
-Traffic figures: Approx 400 vessels and 963,000t of cargo handled annually.
-Coastal pilotage: Compulsory for gas carriers (LPG, LNG) and chemical tankers with noxious liquid substances on board.

b) Lat. 43° 00.8' N, Long. 017° 22.7' E
c) Lat. 43° 03.2' N, Long. 017° 18.9' E
d) Lat. 43° 04.7' N, Long. 017° 21.0' E

Vessels are not allowed to anchor east of the line connecting Kunova Cove on Peljesac Peninsula and point Lat. 43° 03’ N, Long. 017° 24’ E on the coast
Load line zone: Summer.
Max size: Main Port: LOA 220m, beam 30m, draught 10.5m. Oil Terminal: LOA 220m, beam 28.5m, draught 10.2m.
IMDG Class 1
Ploce - all IMDG classes are acceptable, only direct manipulation, vessel-wagon , truck or vice versa. IMO Cargo is not allowed to touch the shore.
Two (2) berths presently are acceptable for IMO cargo, berth No. 1 (max draft 9,20m) & berth No. 11. (max draft 14m).
Loading is performed by shore cranes only during the daylight.
Transhipment generally can be performed, but under 24 hours.
IMO Cargo in transit is allowed, but not more than 2500mt NEQ dangerous goods on board in transit.
