Atlantic Port of Bordeaux is developing a new container terminal (TCSO, South-West Container Terminal) at the Verdon site, gateway to southwestern France, to support the expected growth in container traffic Berths: -No. 805-806: length: 550 m; depth: 12.5 m; draft: 12.0 m; remarks: loading and discharge of Containers. Facilities: Ro-Ro ramp, 12,000 sq.m. shed, road weighbridge, rail weighbridge, 100,000 sq.m. open storage, 80 reefer plugs, platform for timber and dangerous goods storage yard. Anchorage: The normal waiting anchorage area is the roadstead of Le Verdon, depth 10.0 – 12.0 m. and sand silt bottom. Load line zone: North Atlantic Winter Seasonal Zone II, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.
