General Description
Location: Loviisa is located on the S coast of Finland, approx. 60NM E of Helsinki.
General overview: The Port of Loviisa is owned by Port of Helsinki. It is considered a conventional port that mainly handles breakbulk and bulk cargoes. It has all the necessary equipment for the handling of containers as well as dry/bulk and Ro-Ro cargoes.

- Grain Loading (500 t/h)
Warehousing
The port offers the following storage facilities:
- 3 Shore Tanks (6 000 m³)
- 2 Cement Silos (11,500t)
- Grain Storage (110,000t)
- Warehouse (56 500 m²)
- Open Storage (11ha)
The port also specializes in sawn timber with an annual capacity of almost 1,5 million m³ // Covered Storage 100,000 m³ // Open Storage 60,000 m³. Moreover consists of a crane able to load up to 500 m³/h.
Cargoes:
- Imports: Coal, grain, general and bulk cargo.
- Exports: Sawn timber, plywood, general cargo and paper.
Traffic figures: Approx. 320 vessels totaling 723,000GT visit the port annually.
Load line zone:
- Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length
- Winter Seasonal Area for ships of 100m or less in length
- Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31
- Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.
Max size: Max draught 9.5m.
