General Description
Location: The Sture Oil Terminal is situated at Stura in Øygarden municipality. Located at Hjeltefjorden on the E side of Alvoy.
General overview: The Sture Oil Terminal has two jetties for crude oil tanker handling and receives oil from the North Sea through two pipelines from Oseberg and Grane fields.
The terminal's oil storage caverns store the oil for shipment.
All crude oil loading vessels must have a Class or USCG approved vapour return system.
Jetty No. 1 accommodates vessels between 30,000-300,000DWT.
Jetty No. 2 handles vessels up to 150,000DWT and LPG vessels of 15,000DWT and over after some conversion.
The terminal exports crude oil and LPG.

Traffic figures: Approx. 260 vessels visit the port and 22,760,000t of crude oil and 150,000t of liquid gas handled annually.
