Location: Tanjung Manis is situated 30 kilometres from the entrance of the Rajang River. Located in the Tanjung Manis Timber Processing Zone (TMTPZ). General overview: The Port of Tanjung Manis is a deep anchorage port with 11 meters access draft channel, providing a safe berthing place for large ocean-going vessels. The port is primarily used for loading logs and timber products, but also offers an anchorage for vessels handling general cargo and containers. It comprises of three centers: Tanjung Manis Terminal, Oil Gas Chemical (OGC) Jetty, and Tanjung Manis Anchorages, which handle containerized trade, bulk fuel oil, and timber logs, sawn timber, and coal, respectively. With a consistent flow of in-bound project cargoes, the port is poised to play a crucial role as a main trade gateway for the Central Region of Sarawak and to act as a catalyst in the transformation of the Tanjung Manis hinterland and the region in general.
