Location: Zarubino is located in Troitsy (Trinity) Bay in the Gulf of Posyet approx 66Km from the Chinese border and 150km SW of Vladivostok. General overview: The port is situated on the borders of 3 countries; North Korea, Russia and China and is in a sheltered position in the SW of Troitsy Bay (Silach Harbour) along the coast from Cape Shultz. Navigation in the port is possible all year round without icebreaker assistance. First ice appears at the end of Nov, steady ice formation starts in the middle of Dec. The main cargoes handled are timber, metal, fishing products and foodstuffs. The port is open to all vessels. The port is a transhipment centre for cargoes in the region. Traffic figures: The port handles approx 750,000t of cargo annually. Load line zone: Summer, Winter Seasonal Zone for vessels 100m or less in length.
