General Description
Location: In Sergipe State, E Brazil. The terminal is 15 km. E of Aracaju. The town of Barra dos Coqueiros lies between the coast and the Cotinguiba River, close to the estuary of the Sergipe River.

Berths: Inacio Barbosa Maritime Terminal (TEMIB) pier is connected toshore by concrete causeway, length 2.4 km. and sheltered by 550 m. breakwater on the seaward SE side. Berth length 356 m., width 17 m., depth9.5 m. (LW).
Capacity: 1x50,000 d.w.t. or 1x15,000 and 1x1,500 d.w.t. simultaneously.
Terminal is fitted with a two-way conveyor system, consisting of three conveyors: 1x2,556 m., width 6.6 m., SWL 36 tons, running along offshore pier and connecting structure, 1x220 m., located at the quay and linked to a shiploader, and 1x80 m. Capacity 1,200 cu.m./hr. Shiploader capacity 150 – 300 tonnes/hr. Three hoppers, max. three gangs. Tank-top protection not available.

Eucalogs: Loading using ship’s gear, 8,000 tpd. In bundles approx. 3,900 tonnes/wwd, 4 gangs.Discharge using shore equipment, 4,500 tpd.
Urea and Fertilisers: Loading using conveyor belt, 4,500 tpd. 1 gang.
Discharge using ship’s gear, 4,500 tpd. 3 gangs.
Drummed Juice: Loading using ship’s gear, 3,500 tpd.
Coke: Discharge using ship’s gear, 4,200 tpd.
Wheat: Discharge using shore gear, 5,700 tpd.
Cement: Loading 8,000 – 15,000 tpd.
Clinker: Loading 3,500 – 4,000 tpd.
Pilotage: Compulsory, operating from 0600 – 1800 hrs.
