Location: The Port of Ennore (also known as Kamarajar) is a new port located approx. 13NM N of Chennai. General overview: Ennore port, consisting of 2 coal berths capable of handling 16,000,000t annually. Iron ore and oil products are also handled. It is planned that the port will handle cars, containers, LNG, POL, chemicals, fertilizers and other energy products. The port has 2 breakwaters, North, 3,080m in length and South, 1,070m in length.
