General Description
Location: The Port of Koper is situated in the north-eastern part of the Adriatic Sea.
General overview: The Port of Koper is Slovenia's largest container port and main Port of Entry. The port serves as a gateway between the markets of Central and Southeast Europe, the Mediterranean Sea and the Far East. The port is well-positioned and provides safe berthing for vessels.
Unlike other European ports, Port of Koper is responsible for the management of the free zone area, the port area and terminal operations.
It is currently the primary port serving the route between the Adriatic Sea and Central Europe.
