Location: Kota Baru port is located on the N coast of Pulau Laut Island which is situated off the S coast of Kalimantan Selatan. General overview: The construction of the NPLCT coal terminal nearby has expanded Kota Baru as a commercial port opened to international trade. In addition, it also handles inter island and ocean going passenger traffic. Main exports are coal, logs, rattan, rubber and fish products. Max size: Oil jetty: LOA 130m, 6,500DWT. NPLCT: The max size of vessel that can be accommodated is LOA 320m, 41m beam, 14.0m + tide - 10% UKC draught and approx 150,000DWT. Minimum size of vessel accepted is 10,000DWT. Largest vessel handled: ''Navalis'', LOA 270.88m, beam 43.0m and 133,661DWT.
