General Description
Location: The Port of Longview is located on the Columbia River, 66nm inland from the Pacific Ocean in SW Washington state. General overview: Longview is at the centre of a comprehensive network of import/export shipping, warehouse/distribution facilities and overland connections. It is linked by an extensive barging system to the Inland Empire. The port has a total of 7 berths and 19 transit sheds/warehouses, with total area of 154ha. Main cargoes handled include: Dry bulk, bulk, timber products, minerals, general cargo and containers. Ro-Ro and passenger vessels are also accommodated. Traffic figures: Approx 2,000,000t of cargo and 3,000TEU handled annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: No LOA or beam restrictions, draught 12.2m.
