Location: The Nakagusuku New Port is situated in the northwest region of Nakagusuku Bay, along the eastern coast of Okinawa Island.
General overview: The Port of Nakagusuku is designated as a specified port and handles all crude and petroleum products within the Okinawa island group. It boasts multiple sea berths and piers for large vessels, predominantly owned by petroleum companies.
The port's jurisdiction extends to Kinwan in the north and Nishihara terminal in the south, which are separately listed.
The Port of Nakagusuku serves as a distribution hub to ensure efficient circulation of goods within Okinawa and features the Okinawa Free Trade Zone, as well as a dry cargo berth measuring 110 m in length for coal carriers.
Additionally, a regular passenger service operates to Tokujin Ko and Tsuken Shima Ko.
