Location: The port of Quintero is located at the head of Quintero Bay, approx 16nm NNE of Valparaiso. General overview: The port consists of an oil terminal with an SBM, CBM's and liquefied chemical gas terminals. Also the private port of Puerto Ventanas which consists of a single 1,300m length multipurpose pier with 5 berths that handles export bulk ore, liquid chemicals, general cargo and imported grain. There is also an LNG pier and regasification terminal. Traffic figures: Approx 1,000 vessels visit the port annually and 4,000,000t of cargo handled at Puerto Ventanas. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Muelle Oxiquim: LOA 211m, draught 12.4m, 40,0000DWT. SBM: 350,000DWT, no LOA or draught restriction. Puerto Ventanas: LOA 240m, beam 35m, draught 14.3m, 70,000DWT. LNG Terminal: Q-Max, 260,000m³.
