Location: Ronne is situated on the W coast of the Island of Bornholm, located off the SE coast of Denmark. General overview: The port consists of an outer harbour sheltered by 2 pairs of breakwaters and 3 basins, namely: North Harbour with depths up to 6.5m, West Harbour and South Harbour, depths of 7.0m to 9.0m. Principal exports are clay, granite, grain and bricks. Imports include oil, coal, iron and timber. Traffic figures: Approx 1,400,000t of cargo, 1,500,000 passengers, 1,200 cargo vessels and 2,100 ferries handled annually. Load line zone: Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less in length. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: Cruise ships: LOA 240m, beam 40m, draught 8.4m.
