General Description
Location: Samcheok is on the SE coast of Korea, 4.5nm NW of Pi Mal and stands on the N side of the mouth of Osib Chon.
General overview: A small commercial and fishing harbor with cement being one of its major exports, also general and oil cargoes handled. The harbor is enclosed by two breakwaters with a narrow entrance. Inside there is a large outer basin with three wharves for cargo vessels and a N inner basin for fishing vessels.
Load line zone: Summer.
Max size: LOA: 130 m; draft: 7.5 m; beam: 20 m; deadweight: 12,000 t.
