General Description
Location: San Jose is located on the Pacific coast of Guatemala, close W of Puerto Quetzal.
General overview: There are four CBM Buoy moorings handling the discharge of oil at three CBM's and the loading of molasses at the other CBM. Tankers moor close to the derelict old pier to load molasses by pipeline. Tankers handling petroleum products moor approx 1.5nm W of the old pier at the CBM installations of Texaco, Esso amd Puma Energy.
Load line zone: North Pacific Seasonal Tropical Area, Tropical Mar 1 to Jun 30 and Nov 1 to Nov 30, Summer Jul 1 to Oct 31 and Dec 1 to Feb 28/29.
Max size: CBM Buoys: LOA 190m-250m, draught 10.5m, 40,000DWT.
