General Description
Location: The Port of Susaki is situated on the southern coast of Shikoku, in Tosa Bay.
General overview: The Port of Susaki handles nearly half of the cargo for the Kochi Prefecture, and its operations include the loading and discharging of commodities such as cement, timber, heavy oil, limestone, and general cargo. However, its location makes it vulnerable to tsunamis, and it has experienced damage from them in the past.
The port has berths operated by Osaka Cement Co and Nittetsu Mining Co for the loading and unloading of limestone, cement, and clinker. These berths are equipped with unloaders and belt conveyors to facilitate the process.
