General Description
Location: The Kinuura Port is situated in Yipu Bay in the north of Zhiduo Bay, northwest of Sanhewan in the south of Honshu, and southeast of Bantian City, Aichi Prefecture.
General overview: The Kinuura Port, a multipurpose port, boasts a diverse range of terminals and wharves to serve the needs of various industrial enterprises. Kinuura handles a variety of cargoes, including coal, oil, chemicals, steel, vehicles, cement, timber, bulk minerals, LPG and foodstuffs. The West Bank of the port includes the coal and oil terminals in the West Breakwater:
- The oil terminal piles extend into the water area with a water depth of 13 meters for reliable berthing of 40,000DWT.
- The coal terminal, on the other hand, can only dock 5,000 DWT with a water depth of 7.5 meters.
- The Japan chemical terminal is a pile type with a water depth of 11 meters, capable of docking 10,000 DWT.
- The Wufeng coal terminal is located on the east wall of the sunken north-south harbor basin, shaped like a peninsula and can berth two 5,000DWT reliably.
- The wharf of Kawateltsu Steel Works is on the south side of the peninsula extending eastward, a piled wharf with a water depth of 12 meters, capable of berthing 35,000 DWT vessels.
The central wharf, which has reached the east coast of Bantian City, is a peninsula to the southeast and has a small jetty extending south:
- There are six berths around, four of which are 30,000-50,000 DWT.
- Dow Chemical terminal is 210 meters long and 9 meters deep.
- Guiqi wharf, located in the southwest of Yipu Bridge, is 240 meters long and 12 meters deep, it can berth 30,000 DWT.
