General Description
Location: Wei Hai harbour lies on the NE coast of Shandong peninsula in the NW of Wei Hai Bay.
General overview: It is a natural bay harbour, sheltered by Liugong Island in the E and protected by mountains to the N, W and S. The port is divided into North port and South port, 8nm SE of North port in Yang Jiang Bay. Vessels can be lightened at anchor.
Main imports: Timber and fertiliser.
Main exports: Grain, dry sweet potatoes, salt and granite blocks.
Traffic figures: Approx 17,300,000t of cargo and 282,000TEU handled annually.
Load line zone: Summer.
Max size:
North port: LOA 200m, beam 20m, draught 10.9m.
South Port: LOA 200m, draught 9.5m, 20,000DWT.

Container terminal can accept IMO cargo load/discharge by container ships only.
