Location: The Port of Dahej is situated in the Gulf of Khambhat, on the W coast of India. General overview: The Port of Dahej is a natural deep-water port with multiple berthing facilities. It handles the importing of coal, chemicals, LNG, rock phosphates, fertilizers, and containers. The exporting consists of petroleum products and chemicals. There are also the recently opened jetties on the peninsula W of Dahej for the Chemical facility, operated by GCPTCL (Gujarat Chemical Port Terminal Company Limited), the LNG terminal, operated by Petronet LNG, and the Fertilizer company jetty, for the copper smelter plant.
