General Description
Location: Kalamaki is located E of the SE mouth to the Corinth Canal on the N coast of Saronikos Kolpos.
General overview: The port handles loading and unloading of cereals and vegetable oils for Kalamaki Soya Mills plant, and loading and discharging timber and wood products at Mourikis pier. The port provides good shelter from all winds, but violent squalls may be experienced particularly during strong N winds. Port installations are situated on the NE side of the bay, close SE of the village of Kalamaki. Kalamaki Port has two commercial piers with the following particulars :
1st - pier.No.7 : length: 175,00 m; max draft: 7,90 m
2nd - pier.No.6 : length: 165,00 m; max draft: 7,80 m
Load line zone: Summer.
Max. size: Vessels up to 200 m. LOA, 50 m. beam and 12,5 m. draft may enter harbour, for berthing alongside.
