Location: Thisvi is 80km from Athens and situated on the NE coast of the Gulf of Corinth, S Viotia, Central Greece.
General overview: Thisvi port is set in 100ha of the industrial zone of Viotia and serves Corinth Pipeworks SA, a twinned industrial complex that imports pre materials for coating and iron-ore. It exports SAW, ERW and HFI coated steel pipes used for the transportation of oil, gas and water to the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Caspian region. Thisvi has two port sites. Port regarding "INTERBETON SA" is a new built terminal for loading aggregates. It is a private jetty with 35m dock head, owned by company “INTERBETON SA”. Loading is available through a conveyor belt. The cargoes which are discharged or loaded at Thisvi port are either raw materials (steel, aluminium) or end products (mainly steel pipes of various specifications) related to the companies which are operating in the industrial area of Thisvi and that belong to the VIOHALCO S.A. Group of Companies.
The port has three docks:
Dock #1: length: 155 m; depth: 6 m.
Dock #2: length: 205 m; depth: 11,4 m.
Dock #1: length: 90 m; depth: 9,5 m.
Load line zone: Summer.
Max. size: Largest vessel called at the port: LOA: 200 m, draught: 10.2 m, deadweight: 63046t.
