General Description
Location: Located on the 53km-long Musaffah Channel, Musaffah Port sits on one of the busiest channels in the world; it is also perfectly positioned within the Musaffah Industrial Area (ICAD) of Abu Dhabi.
General information: Musaffah Channel has a width of 200 m and maximum depth of nine metres and can accommodate two-way vessel traffic for large Panamax-type bulk carriers. Musaffah port counts on a 340 m quay wall, has a capacity of 1.5m tonnes of general cargo, and offers a wide range of facilities from break-bulk to RoRo.
IMO Class 1:
- Shifting of IMO containers is NOT allowed.
- Loading / Discharging:
GHQ NOC required for HM approval. Port will not allow for Indirect delivery. Ship must place suitable trailer to deliver cargo directly from trailer to vessel hook.
Port/Terminal will berth the vessel only after deployment of trailers form consignee end to received entire DG cargo from vessel. - Transhipment not allowed.
- Transit is possible subject to No objection from HM.
