Location: Siam Seaport is located on the E coast of the Gulf of Thailand, N of Laem Chabang port and Sriracha Oil Terminal, but S of Sriracha Silo and Sriracha Harbour. General overview: Kerry Siam Seaport's private berth facilities can accommodate 6 ocean vessels simultaneously. Vessels such as break bulk, bulk, conventional, Ro-Ro, semi container, container and passenger ships, ranging from coasters to 136,000DWT vessels can berth at Siam Seaport. The port and warehouses are specially designed to handle bulk, break bulk, conventional, Ro-Ro, semi containers, chemicals and general cargoes. The depot facilities coveres approximately 20ha and comprised storage sheds for sugar, tanks for molasses, sheds for general cargo and open areas for other cargoes. The main jetty comprises a 400m long wharf with four berths for vessels ranging form barges to 60,000 dwt. Access to the wharf involves a 2.7 km long approach bridge with a two-lane road for heavy trucks. Bridge spans were 25 m inshore and 30 m offshore. The Kerry Siam Seaport (KSSP), a multi-purpose deep sea port in Laem Chabang, Thailand, is currently undergoing its fourth phase of expansion. Phase four involves increasing the number of operational berths from 10 to 20, extending the total length from 1.5 kilometers to 2.8 kilometers and constructing another bridge to the port. This phase is expected to be completed by 2025. Traffic figures: Approx 500 vessels and 4,000,000t of cargo handled annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Draught 14.5m, 136,000DWT. Bulk: 100,000 d.w.t., draft 14.5 m. IMO Class 1: Carrier needs to apply for permission and wait for approval from port authority and government which can accept or not, depending on the case. Its very difficult to get approval. Cargoes need to be direct delivery: receive and take out from the port directly.
