General Description
Location: The Port of Swinoujscie is situated at the Świna strait, Baltic Sea.
General overview: The Port of Swinoujscieis the largest dry bulk terminal and ferry terminal in Poland, and one of the most modern in the Baltic Sea. It can handle vessels of draught up to 13.5m and a length of up to 270m.
The port's modern coal terminal has a daily capacity of 30,000t, and there is also a terminal for the importation of iron ore.
The port has a ferry terminal offering passenger, car, train, and ferry services to Copenhagen, Denmark, and Ystad, Sweden. Additionally, there is an external port with infrastructure for servicing ships with LNG fuel.
The port is ice-free, but the depths cannot be relied upon due to fluctuating water levels and silting, and the harbour authorities should be contacted for confirmation.
