General Description
Location: The Port of Kuantan, also known as Tanjong Gelang, is located 25km north of Kuantan on the east coast of the Malaysian peninsula.
General overview: The Port of Kuantan offers 3,413m of berthing facilities and is managed by Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of IJM Corporation Sdn Bhd.
The port is shielded by a 1,800m outer breakwater and a 200m inner breakwater, with a minimum approach channel depth of 12m.
The port handles various products, including chemicals, palm oil products, mineral oil, manufactured and industrial products, fertilizers, feedstock, grains, steel pipes, CKD's, ores, containers and biodiesel.
