General Description
Location: The port of Taixing is located in Taixing county in Jiangsu Province, on the N bank of the lower reaches of the Changjiang (Yangtze) River. It is a port for the Changjiang water systems. General overview: The port of Taixing is for the transport of Taixing's local trade and also the transhipment of cargoes. It has 4 harbour areas which are situated in the counties of Taixing, Huangqiao, Kouan and Guochuan. Two on the Changjiang River and two on the Rutai Canal. It has a natural shoreline totalling more than 10km and a land area of more than 40,000m². The main cargoes handled in the port are coal, ore materials and non-metallic ore.
