Location: Botlek terminal is located in the port of Rotterdam, which is itself situted in the middle of the Rhine-Meuse-Scheldt delta.
General overview: Botlek is a port area of Rotterdam. Botlek terminal specializes in the storage, processing and logistics of renewable energy products that drive the energy transition forward. Extensive infrastructure and sophisticated facilities are in place for handling trucks, ISO containers and rail tank cars. All infrastructure and facilities are connected to pipelines that move product to the world. The terminal has a block train facility (rail cargo center) for moving high-volume products, such as clean petroleum and large-volume liquid chemicals, by rail tank car. Main cragoes handled are chemicals, mineral oil products, acids, biofuels and base oils. 270 tanks with the size from 735 to 40,000 cbm provide the capacity of 1,622,000 cbm. 5 berths are available for SGV and 14 for barges.
