Location: The Port of Gdynia is situated in the West Bank of Gdansk Bay in the north of the country. General overview: The Port of Gdynia is a modern, large port in the Baltic Sea that operates year-round and is free of ice and tides. It is protected by 2.5km-long breakwaters and has excellent rail and road connections. The port is capable of handling a wide range of cargo, including general, dry and liquid cargoes, grain, coal, and vehicles. It is also the largest container port in Poland.
